About this play
A toddler's first scribbles are the beginning of both art and writing. Holding a chunky crayon and dragging it across paper develops grip strength, hand-eye coordination, and the thrilling discovery that their movements leave a mark. Keep it pressure-free โ process over product โ and use big paper to allow free movement.
How to do it (Step by step)
- Tape large paper to a low table or the floor.
- Offer chunky, easy-to-grip crayons.
- Let them scribble freely โ describe the marks they make.
