About this play
Lightweight scarves are perfect for early movement play. Throwing them in the air, watching them float down, and twirling around with them builds gross motor skills, coordination, and an understanding of gravity and air resistance.
How to do it (Step by step)
- Give your child a lightweight, colourful scarf or tissue.
- Show them how to throw it up and watch it drift down.
- Dance together, swirling the scarves around your bodies.
