About this play
Once a baby starts to crawl, chasing becomes the best game in the house. Placing a favourite toy just out of reach and crawling alongside your baby toward it gives them motivation to keep going, while you model the pattern of moving hands and knees together.
How to do it (Step by step)
- Get down on the floor at your baby's level.
- Place an exciting toy a little out of reach.
- Crawl alongside them, cheering them on as they close the gap.
